Partnerships
Mahalo to the many community members who have partnered with us to make this happen!
Aupuni Palapala partnerships are designed to increase knowledge and implementation of Hawaiian values, language, culture and history within Hawaiʻi Department of Education classrooms across the paeʻāina in alignment with the Hawaiʻi Board of Education Policy 105-7

“I thoroughly enjoyed talking with K-12 teachers and community educators about how we can work together to root schooling in the ʻāina and the rich cultural practice of Hawaiʻi. Building more partnerships between UH faculty and K-12 educators is a much needed part of the kinds of systemic change we need in our public educational institutions.
Iʻm so grateful for the work that Aupuni Palapala is doing!”

“I feel so fortunate to have partnered with Aupuni Palapala to support my work,
specifically with the short-film, Hawaiian Soul (2020). Through this partnership, I was able to share the film as well as my process with a large group of educators from across the island chain, which led to more outreach with their individual student groups.
A major goal of ours is getting the film into the classroom, engaging with students and teachers, reinvigorating George's message and legacy of Aloha ʻĀina with a new generation,
and I believe we've done so because of Aupuni Palapala.
In addition, they've been a major contributor in another area of our outreach endeavors, which is physically showing the film in different communities across Hawaiʻi. I cannot be more thankful for this team and their support in making my dreams for this film come true. Mahaaaalo!”
